Mini Meatball Subs with Horseradish

These hearty bite-sized subs are loaded with tender meatballs, rich marinara, and Bookbinder's Prepared Horseradish for a bold, tangy kick that takes this classic comfort food to the next level.

Shelf Stable Prepared Horseradish

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag frozen meatballs 
  • 2 cups marinara sauce 
  • 2 Tbsp Bookbinder's Prepared Horseradish, or more to taste 
  • 12 slider buns or small sub rolls 
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella 
  • 2 Tbsp butter, melted 
  • Extra Parmesan and parsley, for garnish 

Directions:

  1. Cook frozen meatballs per package
  2. In a saucepan, heat marinara sauce
  3. Stir in Bookbinder's Prepared Horseradish
  4. Toss meatballs in the horseradish marinara until coated
  5. Slice slider buns or rolls, place 2–3 meatballs inside each
  6. Spoon extra sauce on top, sprinkle with mozzarella
  7. Place the assembled subs in a baking dish. Brush bun tops with melted butter
  8. Bake at 350°F for 8–10 minutes, until cheese is melted and buns are golden
  9. Garnish with Parmesan and parsley before serving
