Hummus with Horseradish

Creamy hummus with a kick of Bookbinder’s Prepared Horseradish, packed with zesty flavor and perfect for dipping, snacking, or spreading.

Shelf Stable Prepared Horseradish

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (or one 14-ounce can) chickpeas

  • ¼ cup olive oil

  • 1–2 cloves garlic

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 2 tablespoons tahini

  • Pinch of cayenne (optional)

  • Sea salt, to taste

  • Water, as needed for desired consistency

  • Bookbinder’s Prepared Horseradish (to taste)

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients except Bookbinder’s Prepared Horseradish to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
  2. Add water as needed until you reach your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the hummus to a bowl and mix in Bookbinder’s Prepared Horseradish, tasting as you go until the flavor is balanced to your liking.
  4. For an extra kick, add a pinch of cayenne.
  5. Serve with pita chips, fresh vegetables, or as a spread on sandwiches.
